About Passepartout

Passepartout 365 is a painting that I have sent on a journey around the world.  I gave him to friends in Lichtervelde, Belgium, on January 1st, 2012.  They can keep the painting for a small time, and then give it to somebody they know.  This way, I hope the painting travels full circle around the globe and gets back home by January 1st 2013.

If that's the case,  I'll consider the experiment succesful and reward everyone who has received him, sheltered him and sent him further on his way.

Part of the experiment is that every temporary owner sends me a picture of the painting, wherever it is.  All the pictures from his journey are collected here, as a travel-diary.

Will the experiment work?  I have no idea.  It depends entirely on the people who receive the painting and their willingness to make the project work.  Passepartout's predecessor 'Phileas 365' travelled in one year from Belgium to New Zealand, and then went missing somehow.  But if it went missing, that's because somebody liked the painting, right?

I still liked the idea, so I decided to try it again.  Follow up on Passepartout, it'll be a fun journey,
cheers!
